Catholic Youth Service Scotland (CYSS)

is a committee of the Bishops' Conference of Scotland.

Our Mission Statement:

Catholic Youth Service Scotland brings young people together to know and love Jesus Christ and empowers them to develop their full potential in the Church and in the world.

Each of the eight dioceses in Scotland participate in the life and work of CYSS. You can find out who your local point of contact is by linking through to diocesan youth ministry sites here.

Gartmore National Youth Event

Young people from the dioceses of Scotland gathered to celebrate their faith and explore the meaning of the Beatitude: ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, theirs is the kingdom of Heaven’ (Matt 5:3).

At the invitation of St John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis young Catholics have gathered around the world to celebrate their faith at World youth Day.  Inspired by these gatherings you are invited to experience the fun, prayer and joy of a World Youth Day at Stirling.  Join young people from Scotland and beyond from Thursday 30th July to Sunday 2nd August at the University of Stirling campus for Stirling 2015 - Scottish Catholic Youth Festival.
